Mentally upset Egyptian jumps to death; Syrian imprisoned for forging documents to obtain Kuwaiti nationality

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 15: An Egyptian in his 40s reportedly ended his life by jumping from the second floor of a building in Salmiya, reports Al-Anba daily. A police source said the Egyptian was suffering from psychological problems

Drugs with duo: Two Kuwaitis were arrested in Riggae area in possession of narcotics. A security source said the two citizens aroused suspicion of a team of patrolmen on a round of Farwaniya governorate, and they found illicit drugs in their keep while conducting precautionary search on them. They were referred to concerned authorities.

Forged nationality: The Criminal Court has sentenced a Syrian to 12 years imprisonment for forging official documents and obtaining the Kuwaiti nationality, reports Al-Rai daily. The court demanded the accused, lance corporal in the defense ministry, to pay KD 581,000 he has illegally earned in the form of salaries and KD 22,000 he received from the Public Authority for Housing Welfare.
