KUWAIT CITY, April 13: In the midst of the corona epidemic many people forget that the medical staff working on the frontlines to fight the pestilence are the people who are putting their lives at risk to protect us, reports Al-Qabas daily.
In this respect according to the World Health Organization (WHO) figures 10 percent of the medical personnel around the world are infected with the virus. In Kuwait, well-informed sources told the daily that a number of doctors who have waged a ‘war’ on the emerging virus have been infected, including a doctor working at the Farwaniya Hospital, another at the Al-Adan Hospital, and a Syrian surgeon.
This is in addition to two other doctors, a pharmacist and a physiotherapist. The sources asserted the infected health officials are currently stable and that they receive medical care at the Jaber Hospital
