Man sentenced to death in wife’s cold-blooded murder

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 21: The Appeals Court chaired by Consultant Hani Al-Hamdan annulled the decision of First Instance Court that sentenced a Kuwaiti citizen to 15 years with hard labor on the accusation of possessing illicit drugs for trafficking and consumption purpose, thereby acquitting and clearing him of all charges. Lawyer Bashar Al-Nassar and Hamad Al-Amar from Al- Qashab and Nassar Law Firms respectively represented the accused at the session, and insisted the accused was not caught in possession of illicit drugs.

10 yrs for extortionist: A 34 year-old Kuwaiti citizen was sentenced to ten-year imprisonment in a case of extortion in absentia after he escaped from the courtroom during the court session at the Court of Appeals, reports Al-Anba daily.
