Man held wanted for evading 5-yr jail

KUWAIT CITY, July 2: Officers from Ahmadi Security Command arrested a 27-year Kuwaiti man wanted by law for evading a five-year jail term. The officers were on a routine patrol at Dhaher when they noticed that the man parked his car at an odd location, so they approached him for verification of identity. This helped them to discover that he was sentenced to five years in prison for a drug-related offense. He was referred to the concerned authority.

Immoral gestures: A 40-year-old Kuwaiti has filed a complaint with the Farwaniya Police Station accusing a woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, of insulting him and making immoral gestures, reports Al-Rai daily. In his complaint, the Kuwaiti said this happened following an argument between them over a right of way while driving in Fintas. The complainant has provided police the plate number of the woman’s car. Police are looking for the woman.

Drugs with Kuwaiti: Personnel from Farwaniya Security Directorate have arrested a 25-year-old Kuwaiti for possessing drugs, impersonating police and robbing expatriates, reports Al-Rai daily. According to the source, the suspect was caught during routine patrolling in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. The daily added, when the man was ordered to pull over by a police patrol, he attempted to escape but was chased and arrested. After he was taken to the police station, he admitted to the charges filed against him.
