Man caught charging KD 1,500 per completed transaction

KUWAIT CITY, March 15: The Farwaniya police have arrested an unidentified Arab man for completing transactions of expatriates, mainly compatriots, in return for money, reports Al-Anba daily. It has been reported the suspect was working for a VIP and had managed to have links with senior officials in various government departments. The arrest came after he took KD 1,500 from a female Egyptian pharmacist and promised to find a job for her in the government and instead escaped with the money and the latter filed a complaint with the police. He has been handed over to the Public Prosecution.

Fadhli gets jail: The Criminal Court imposed a three-month jail term with hard labor on Abdul Hakeem Al-Fadhli for participating in an illegal public gathering and inciting violence. The Public Prosecution charged Al- Fadhli, a Bedoun, for joining unknown individuals in an illegal public gathering with the intention of disrupting public order and committing crime, in addition to defying the dispersal order of security officials.
