Man attempts to strangle ex-wife to death

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 20: Police are on the lookout for a man who attempted to strangle his former wife to death, reports Al-Rai daily. According to a security source, a Kuwaiti woman lodged a complaint at Sabah Al-Salem Police Station against her former husband, explaining that he attempted to strangle her and threatened to do her harm when he came to her house to take their children. She submitted a medical report which indicated the bruises and skin abrasions around her neck. A case of murder attempt was filed against the suspect.

Copter used in search: Rabya securitymen are on the lookout for an unidentified individual who is accused of stealing luxury cars and selling their parts, for possessing 50 rounds of ammunition and for shooting his accomplice in front of Rabya Police Station, reports Al-Shahed daily. According to security sources, Rabya securitymen had earlier arrested two individuals in possession of 50 rounds of ammunition. In front of the police station, one of them attempted to kill the other and then escaped. A helicopter was used for hunting the suspect. The suspect’s house was raided.

Neighbors’ cars broken into: A Kuwaiti citizen in his 30s was recently arrested for stealing from his neighbors’ cars, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources, when Mubarak Al-Kabeer securitymen received several complaints about thefts from cars, intensive investigations carried out by them led to identifying the suspect as a citizen with criminal records. He was arrested outside his house in Mubarak Al-Kabeer area. When interrogated, the suspect admitted to stealing from six cars of his neighbors.
