‘Lovers’ detention extended in child’s murder

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 5: The detention renewal judge has extended the detention of a Kuwaiti man and his lover accused of murdering the latter’s daughter, reports Al-Anba daily. Defense Lawyer Ebtisam Al-Enezi denied information circulated about her client, which alleged he had beaten the daughter of his girlfriend to death under the pretext of taking out the jinn in her.

The lawyer declared intention to present material evidences to prove her client’s innocence in the accusation of murdering the child. She went ahead to name a third party as the main suspect in the case, saying she’ll ask the court to invite the person for questioning.

The court also learnt that mother of the child had notified security authorities about the death of her daughter in Qosour area on Sept 5, 2017, and an officer was dispatched to the location accompanied by an ambulance.

However, the paramedic refused to transfer the corpse and told the officer that he suspected foul play in the child’s death. Forensic report confirmed traces of beating and with bruises in the face, shoulders and chest of the corpse, in addition to burns on the left arm. The child’s mother confirmed during investigation she was divorced and in a relation with the man she accused of killing the child, and the accused also said the woman was involved
