KUWAIT CITY, Oct 2: Farwaniya securitymen arrested a Nepalese man in Jleeb Al- Shuyoukh for trading in alcohol with 60 bottles of local liquor in his possession. While patrolling the area, the officers got suspicious of the man’s behavior especially since he threw the bag he was carrying upon sensing police presence.

The officers arrested him and they found out the bag contained liquor bottles. He was referred to the concerned security department for legal action. In an unrelated incident, a Syrian was arrested as he was driving under the influence of liquor in Farwaniya. He was taken to the police station in the area for questioning and other legal measures.

Fire tackled: Emergency workers from the Kuwait Oil Company reportedly controlled a limited fire which broke out in one of the gas lines in Manakeesh, reports Al- Anba daily. No casualties or environmental damage have been reported.

Evading arrest: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti man for using the civil ID of his brother to evade police arrest, reports Al-Rai daily. The man was reportedly wanted by law to serve jail terms in connection with several crimes.
