KUWAIT CITY, June 16: Personnel from the General Department for Weapons Investigation have arrested two people for trafficking in booze and selling unlicensed arms and ammunition, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, one of the suspects selling arms and ammunition works for the Ministry of Defence and the other a non-Kuwaiti is unemployed.

According to a security source, the suspects were arrested following a tipoff from a police agent. Police armed with a search and arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecution first raided the home of the military man and seized from his home an unlicensed Kalashnikov rifle, guns and ammunition and from the other man’s house in Salwa an unlicensed pistol and bottles of imported booze. The suspects have been handed over to the concerned authority.
