BEIRUT — Al-Hariri urged the Lebanese to place as priority the country’s safety and security, urging them to stop acts that might lead “to economic collapse” … “this is above any other consideration.”
Addressing the other political leaders, he said, “Our responsibility now lies in protecting Lebanon and saving it from fire, to salvage the economy for there is a serious chance that must not be wasted.”
“I am placing my resignation at the disposal of the president and all Lebanese .. posts are not eternal and what’s at stake now is the dignity and sanctity of the country.”
