Some years ago, sisterly relations between Oman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) experienced a dark cloud, which vanished within a very short period (March 2011) due to the wisdom and sagacity of our leaders who are blessed with the native intelligence of dealing with issues in a way that no stone can upset the calm water among our sisterly countries.

The political crisis between Oman and UAE started out of the blue (no need to mention the cause, as it has become history). The Sultanate just released an official statement in the media to reproach UAE. Considering the cordial relationship between with Oman and the UAE, His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad took it upon himself to calm down the sudden tension between lovers. Leaders of both countries welcomed the intervention and efforts of the Humanitarian Leader due to the brotherly love and trust built by him.

Why did the sudden tension douse quickly … and very well?

The tension doused quickly, because there was basically nothing to be regarded as a crisis, so what happened was probably a misunderstanding. The two leaders handled the situation with equanimity and sophistication, and gave their brother Sheikh Sabah all necessary prerogatives to mend the fence with love.

Sheikh Sabah proved himself ‘up to responsibility’ without letting anybody down and succeeded in restoring relations between lovers within a record time after mending the cables of current.

In a historical moment that can’t be forgotten, Kuwaiti aircraft carrying Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad landed in Muscat airport accompanied by Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum and Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan. They were received with open arms by Sultan Qaboos Bin Saeed who exchanged pleasantries with them. Thanks to the wisdom of the leaders and efforts of the Humanitarian Leader, the worst crisis between brothers that could have snowballed into a worse scenario was brought to a close!

May Allah the Almighty protect Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad, Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashed, and Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed. May God be merciful to Sultan Qaboos Bin Saeed.

The short period of this crisis is attributed to wisdom of our leaders and magnanimous political handling of the situation to calm down the fray nerves … May Allah Almighty include it in the measurement of their good deeds on the day money and children are useless.
