Lankan maid stabbed to death for casting spell, says citizen

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 5: A 27-year old Kuwaiti citizen was arrested for stabbing a Sri Lankan housemaid to death in Umm Al-Haiman area. Two of his brothers were also arrested for helping the suspect commit the murder.

According to security sources, the suspect stabbed her several times until she died, after which he fled from the location. After he was arrested by Ahmadi securitymen, he confessed during interrogations that he stabbed her with the help of two of his brothers because she had cast a spell on him.

According to the suspect’s father, his son suffers from a mental disorder. The officers also arrested the two brothers and investigations are ongoing to determine the actual circumstances surrounding the murder incident

Right of way brawl: An unidentified Lebanese has filed a complaint with the Nugra Police Station accusing an unidentified person of assaulting him over the right of way, reports Al- Anba daily. The daily added, the Lebanese has submitted a medical report showing injuries on his body. Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, has filed a complaint with the Adan Police Station, accusing her friend of fraud and swindling her, reports Al- Anba daily. In her complaint she said she trusted her friend and gave him her credit cards and the latter withdrew all her money and disappeared.
