Kuwait’s triathlon athlete Hamada ranks 10th in International tourney

VIENNA, Aug. 28: The Kuwaiti triathlon champion Abdullah Hamada has ranked tenth in the finals of the international “Triathlons 2021-2022” that kicked off on Friday in the city of Samorin, Slovakia. In a phone contact with KUNA on Saturday, Hamada said he reached this rank in the age category 30-39 among 403 competing athletes. He added that the tournament kicked off with the athletes competing in swimming for 750 meters in the Danube and proceeded on bicycling for 20 kilometers ending with a running round for five kms.

Hamada competed with 1,200 champions from various countries namely the United States of America and the United Kingdom Hamada said in a phone contact with KUNA, on Friday, that this international tournament (Challenge Championship) of a 1.5 million award, requires high physical fitness, rapid change of sport costumes and shoes Hamada affirmed that he prepared and trained well for the tournament noting that he had been involved in training camps in Switzerland and Slovakia since two months ago. The Kuwaiti champion took part last month in a tournament in Switzerland. (KUNA)
