Kuwait’s Grand Mosque Reopens for Prayers After Three Years

KUWAIT CITY, April 11: Kuwait’s Grand Mosque received worshipers, amidst overwhelming joy, after prayers were suspended in the main hall for three years due to the corona virus pandemic and maintenance work. The worshipers had a chance to pray behind distinguished Kuwaiti ‘imams’ with eloquent recitation from the Holy Quran. The prayer leaders were keenly chosen by the mosque administration to provide an atmosphere of faith and complete reverence.

The worshipers are in the midst of complete reverence and an atmosphere of faith.

The Grand Mosque is considered one of the best Islamic cultural landmarks in the State of Kuwait and the largest mosque in the country, with an area of 45,000 square meters and a capacity for more than 60,000 worshipers. (KUNA)
