Kuwaiti’s body found; Asian in suicide bid

KUWAIT CITY, May 16: The remains of a Kuwaiti believed to be in his 60s have been referred to the Forensics to identify the cause of death, reports Al-Anba daily. A security source said the partly decomposed body of the victim was found inside an apartment in Salmiya. Police after getting permission from the Public Prosecutor forced open the door when neighbors complained of bad odor. Initial Forensics report showed the man had died a few days ago.

Suicide attempted: An Asian expatriate identified as Rumman tried to commit suicide by swallowing pesticide in Fahaheel area. He was given a stomach wash and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of Adan Hospital, says Al-Seyassah. Investigation with the friends of Rumman indicated he was found unconscious on the floor with the pesticide beside him. A case was registered and legal action will be taken against him when he’s out of intensive care.
