KUWAIT CITY, Dec 26: The Bayan police have detained for interrogation a Kuwaiti youth for harassing young Syrian women in the parking lot of the Bayan Cooperative Society, reports Al-Anba daily. A security source said the arrest came after the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry received a call about a fight in the parking lot. When police reached the spot, they saw a Syrian involved in a heated argument with the Kuwaiti apparently because two youths were following his girlfriend and demanding that she give them her phone number.
And it’s all gone: A 36-year-old Kuwaiti has filed a complaint with the Ahmadi police accusing unidentified robbers of breaking into his chalet in Um Khadir and stealing electrical appliances, 4 TV sets, 3 refrigerators, 4 receivers, 14 blankets, 6 tool kits, 2 vacuum cleaners, 4 external lights, 3 windows and 150-meters cable and 65 sheep, In addition to all kitchen utensils, reports Al-Shahed daily. Police are looking for the burglars.
Dajeej store afire: Fire broke out in a store in Dajeej area. No casualties were reported, says Al-Seyassah. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the store on fire, securitymen, paramedics and firefighters rushed to the location to discover the store made of prefabricated material. Firefighters extinguished the fire within a short time before it spread further. Investigations have been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
