Kuwaiti survives suicide bid

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 20: An unidentified Kuwaiti who attempted to end his life by jumping from the third floor apartment of his fiancÈe in Salwa, has been admitted to the intensive care unit of the Mubarak Al- Kabir Hospital, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily quoting security sources said the man arrived at the home of his fiancÈe under the influence of drugs and reportedly jumped out of the window, the cause for which is not known. However, when police and paramedics arrived at the scene, they found the man lying in a pool of blood. A case of attempted suicide has been registered at the Salwa Police Station.

Drugs seized: Patrolmen from Jahra Security Command arrested a citizen inside a car parked near the immigration department in Dajeej area in possession of narcotics. He was heavily intoxicated. Security sources said the officers spotted the citizen’s car parked in unusual way, prompting them to approach to move closer to investigate the situation. They found the citizen in an abnormal state, and in possession of narcotics. He was referred with the contraband to concerned authorities.
