Hamada acts in ‘Al-Bait Al-Maskoun’ 3 play

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 21: Popular Kuwaiti singer Nawal Al-Kuwaitiyya will participate in the operetta for Khaleej 23 Championship which will be hosted by Kuwait, reports Al-Nahar daily. Fahad Al-Nasser composed the operetta with the participation of several singers including Abdulkarim AbdulQader, Nabel Shuail, Abdullah Rewashed, Mohammad Al-Mesbah, Ahmad Al-Huraibi and Mohammad Al-Baloushi. Meanwhile, the diva singer Samira Saed presented a number of her old and new songs during a concert that was recently held at Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center, reports Al-Anba daily. She expressed admiration for the center, describing it as an artistic masterpiece.

Actor Ahmad Iraj will travel to Dubai soon to participate in Dubai International Cinema Festival with his film entitled, “Hatem is Jassem’s Friend,” reports Al-Rai daily. Speaking to the daily, Iraj disclosed the film highlights the meaning of true friendship between him and his Egyptian friend — Hatem or between Kuwaitis and Egyptians. Iraj also directed the film and wrote the script.

Actress Basema Hamada participated in the play titled “Al- Bait Al-Maskoun 3”, which was part of the activities held in Bahrain to celebrate the king’s ascension to the throne, reports Al-Anba daily. A number of elite stars were part of the play including Abdulaziz Al-Musallam, Haya Al-Shuaibi and Hani Al-Tabakh. The play was written and directed by Abdulaziz Al-Musallam. During an interview, Hamada highlighted the success of the play from the time it was presented for the first time in Kuwait until recently in Qatar. She affirmed that the success of theatrical arts in Kuwait is incomparable to any other kind of success.

Well-known Kuwaiti singer Abdullah Rewashed, known as Ambassador of Gulf Song, expressed sorrow over the demise of the late singer Abu Bakr Salem who enriched the Gulf and Arab music arena with different kinds of songs, reports Al-Anba daily. “I lost my father, Abu Assel, and the big supporter of my singing journey,” Al-Rewashed said. Al-Rewashed will travel to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to attend the funeral.

Singer Bilal Al-Shami sustained an eye injury when a firecracker exploded near him while he was singing at a concert in Souq Mubarakiya that was held to mark the National Day of Qatar, reports Al-Rai daily. After the incident, Al-Shami issued a press release to assure his fans that he is doing well, thanking each and every one who called to enquire about his condition. He expressed regret for his inability to participate in the “Khaleeji 23”, which will kickstart on Dec 22.
