Kuwaiti shoots friend in shoulder inside diwaniya

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 10: A 1988- born Kuwaiti citizen sustained a gunshot wound on his shoulder, close to his heart, after his friend, also a Kuwaiti citizen in his 20s, shot at him inside his diwaniya in Qosur area and ran away. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received a call on Saturday, Sept 10 about sounds of gunshots coming from a house, Mubarak Al-Kabeer securitymen rushed to the location with paramedics and found the victim wounded by a gunshot. He revealed that his friend barged into the diwaniya, shot at him and fled. Paramedics took him to the nearest hospital for treatment, while securitymen launched investigations to find and arrest the suspect. A case was registered.

KD 4,000 stolen from house: An unknown individual broke into the house of a Kuwaiti citizen in Rumaithiya area and stole KD 4,000 cash, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources, the victim’s house was burgled while he was out shopping with his wife in preparation for their overseas trip during Eid Al-Adha holidays. Officers from the General Department for Criminal Evidences rushed to the location and lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit.
