Kuwaiti shooter wins bronze medal in juniors world skeet championship

Competition in Todi will continue until 29th July

KUWAIT CITY, July 23, (KUNA): The Kuwaiti shooter Ahmad Al-Awwad on Sunday achieved the bronze medal in the Juniors World Skeet shooting championships, currently held in Todi, Italy, amid wide international participation.

The President of Kuwait’s Shooting Club Duaij Al-Otaibi, head of the delegation participating in the competition, spoke to KUNA by phone saying Al-Awwad came third after a competitiopm against Chilean, Martinez Mathias who came first, and a Kazakh who placed second.

Al-Otaibi, who expressed great joy for this achievement, added Al-Awwad showed a “rivalry and strong competition” during the final stages.

Al-Otaibi considered the junior national team’s performance a big success for the shooting club, that is preparing an exceptional new generation of shooters and continues to achieve advanced positions in future championships.

The Juniors World Skeet shooting championship, which kicked off on July 19 and will continue until the 29th, includes 29 shooters from Kuwait in many age groups.
