Kuwaiti ‘sentenced’ to six months in absentia, held with KD 143,000

KUWAIT CITY, April 19: A Kuwaiti citizen who is wanted by law for enforcement of a judicial verdict that sentenced him in absentia to six-month imprisonment, was arrested for swindling people and committing forgery through which he earned KD 143,000, reports Al- Seyassah daily.
When security authorities received information about a Kuwaiti citizen committing forgery by using fake governmental stamps, a team was formed for investigations. After confirming the information and obtaining a warrant, the suspect was arrested in possession of forged cheques, fake stamps and sum of KD 143,000 which he earned through forgery as well as equipment used for the purpose. He was arrested and referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
