Kuwaiti man detained for raping Syrian toddler

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 17: Police have detained a 27-year-old Kuwaiti for raping a 4-year-old Syrian toddler, reports Al-Anba daily. A security source said the arrest came after the victim’s mother filed a complaint with the Zahra Police Station against the citizen after her daughter told her what happened between her and the suspect. The child has been referred to Forensics.

Meanwhile an Asian woman tried to commit suicide by consuming large number of pills inside her sponsor’s house in Adan area. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the incident, securitymen and paramedics were dispatched to the location.

They found the woman lying on the kitchen floor with some medicines nearby. She was immediately taken to Adan Hospital where she was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit. When they questioned her sponsor, he said he had hired her just two months ago and did not know she was facing any problems or illnesses. Necessary action was taken and a case of suicide attempt was filed against the woman
