Kuwaiti figure skating girls team to participate in World Championship

KUWAIT CITY, April 4, (KUNA): The Kuwaiti Winter Games Club announced Sunday the National Skating Team figure skating girls will participate in the World Championship in Bucharest, Romania, on 8-10 of May, an event expected to witness international participation.
The president of the club Salem Al-Ajmi said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the tournament will be held virtual, thus a skater will perform in her country and the judging committees will follow the performances through direct transmission. He added that eight players will represent the national team in this big tournament: Hessa Al-Saraawi, Lulwa Al-Dharman, Sarah Al-Laho, Khairiyah Al- Kanderi, Lara Al-Barrak, Hajar Al-Kanderi, Norah Qutainah, Ru’a Al-Qartas, Salma Al-Sakka and Elizabeth Frank. He indicated that the club will set up a camp for players from the 16th to the 30th April to prepare for the tournament.
