Kuwaiti citizen jumps to death from house rooftop; Drunk duo teasing girls

KUWAIT CITY, June 29: A 33-year-old Kuwaiti citizen with psychological disorder jumped to his death from the rooftop of his house in Jahra area. The Operations Room of the Interior Ministry was notified about the episode and a team of rescue men went to the scene. Paramedics examined the body and declared he was already dead. The body was referred to Forensics. Relatives of the deceased man said during investigation that he was psychologically ill and had a file with the Psychological Hospital. A case was registered.

Eve-teasers held: Officers from the Hawalli Security Directorate referred a deranged 19-year-old Kuwaiti and 18-year-old Bedoun who were teasing girls and acting in an abnormal manner inside a commercial complex in Salmiya to the area police station. A security source said the officers smelt liquor in the breath of the two youths upon arrest. Meanwhile, Jahra securitymen apprehended a Nepali expatriate in Qasser area for dancing on the road. He was referred to concerned authorities.

Indian caught drunk: An Indian expatriate was arrested for consuming alcohol and dancing inside his vehicle while driving in Jabriya area in a manner that was dangerous not only to his life but also the lives of others. According to security sources, when securitymen received information about an Asian expatriate dancing inside his vehicle and driving erratically in Jabriya area, they rushed to the location and ordered the suspect to pull over. When they asked him for his documents, they detected the smell of alcohol coming from him. They discovered he is an Indian expatriate. He was arrested and referred to Jabriya Police Station for investigations and necessary legal action.

Robbers nabbed: An eightmember gang specialized in theft was arrested in a livestock pen at Wafra by officers from the Criminal Security Sector. In a statement, the Public Relations and Security Media Department of Interior Ministry said the gang of six Kuwaitis and two GCC nationals was apprehended upon a tip-off concerning their illegal activities in Wafra area. It added a team of detectives embarked confirmed validity of the report and raided the hideout where they found a pile of stolen items plus illicit drugs and related tools. They also recovered an unspecified quantity of illicit drugs inside the vehicle of the first suspect. They were referred with the contraband to relevant authorities.
