KUWAIT CITY, Jun 25: A Kuwaiti citizen failed in his attempt to smuggle an Syrian national from an isolated area of ​​Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. The citizen crossed a security point, collided with a patrol vehicle, fought with the security man and then beat him with an iron rod.

According to what was reported by a security source, A citizen was stopped by an officer at a checkpoint in the Jleeb area, as he was asked to show the curfew permit that entitles the person accompanying him to leave the area. He informed him that he was a Syrian mechanic and needed him to repair his parked car in Abdullah Al-Mubarak area.

According to the source, the officer who holds the rank of first lieutenant, refused to allow the Syrian to leave because he did not have a permit and he inquired from the citizen about how he entered the area. The citizen had an argument with the patrol and set off with his car where he was pursued. The Syrian got out of the car and was arrested, while the security men continued to follow the Kuwaiti fugitive until he reached one of the houses located in the area of ​​Abdullah Al-Mubarak where he got out and went inside, after a few minutes he came out with a iron rod in his hand that hit the officer which caused him injury.

The source said that a support force was requested at the site and they arrested the Kuwaiti citizen and transferred him to the police station, where a case of assault and insulting an employee, intentionally colliding with the patrol, and breaking the rules of the isolation by smuggling Syrian were recorded against him.
