KUWAIT CITY, Oct 18: A Kuwaiti citizen died while another sustained fractures and injuries when a vehicle toppled on Sixth Ring Road. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the accident, firefighters rushed to the location with securitymen and paramedics. They pulled out the two victims from the toppled vehicle to discover one had succumbed to serious injuries and fractures.
The corpse of the deceased was referred to the Forensics Department while paramedics referred the other victim to Jahra Hospital where he was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit in critical condition. Investigations have been launched. Meanwhile, securitymen from the Capital governorate have arrested two Kuwaitis for driving under the influence of drugs, reports Annahar daily.
The daily added, the suspects were caught during routine patrolling. According to security sources when the man behind the wheel was ordered to pull over, he obeyed, climbed out of the vehicle and attempted to escape. When police checked the car, they found two bottles of alcohol. Both men had been sentenced in absentia for prison terms. They have been handed over to the concerned authorities
