Kuwaiti beats up a traffic officer for issuing a citation

KUWAIT CITY, June 13: Police are looking for an unidentified Kuwaiti for allegedly beating a traffic police officer inside a government hospital in front of other people and hospital staff, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily added, the officer was allegedly beaten in revenge for issuing a citation to the suspect about a week ago. Before assaulting the officer, the citizen reportedly said, ‘You issued me a traffic citation before one week for nothing.’

The daily said the officer was attacked with a sharp object. The officer has submitted a medical report documenting his injuries, bruises and wounds. An arrest warrant has been issued for the suspect. In the meantime the security authorities are checking on the names of people the officer had issued citations last week.
