Kuwaiti attempts to stamp passports of his absent wife, son

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 6: Passport officers at Salmi border checkpoint referred a Kuwaiti citizen to General Department for Residency Investigations after he was caught attempting to stamp the passports of his wife of GCC nationality and his son even though they were not with him, reports Al-Anba daily. According to a security source, the citizen arrived at the border checkpoint from Saudi Arabia and passport officers demanded for the fingerprints of his wife. The citizen said his wife was sick but when officers checked the vehicle, they were surprised to find it empty. The source revealed that the passports of his wife and son were stamped at the Saudi border checkpoint, stating their departure. Securitymen are conducting investigations to determine whether the citizen’s wife and son are in Kuwait or not.

KD 1,700 stolen from car: An unknown individual broke the side glass of a Kuwaiti woman’s car, which was parked near a private hospital in Hawally area, and stole KD 1,700, reports Al-Anba daily. Personnel from General Department for Criminal Evidences lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit.

Calls to go for ‘jihad’: A number of Kuwaiti citizens affiliated to a Jihadi movement recently circulated an earlierbroadcast clip of Abdullah Mhaisni, a Saudi member of the Sharia Committee in the ‘Army of Conquest’ in which he urged scholars to join Jihad in Syria, reports Al-Rai daily. Al-Mhaisni, who was wounded several days ago during clashes in Syria, addressed religious people to go on Jihad for Allah’s sake and fight the spread of fanaticism, injustice and dispersal, which can only be achieved by their actual presence in the battlefield.

Motorist sent to hospital: An unidentified young man was referred to hospital even though he was not hurt when his jeep fell in a trench in Subbiya Road, reports Al-Anba daily.
