Kuwaiti, Asian caught smuggling drugs

Marijuana and cannabis found with two different passengers

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 16: In two separate incidents, Customs officers at the Kuwait International Airport have arrested two unidentified persons for attempting to smuggle drugs in the country, reports Al-Rai daily.

In the first incident an Asian has been arrested for attempting to smuggle 38 pieces of cannabis weighing about 250 grams. He arrived from his home country and was seized upon arrival at the airport.

In the other incident, police have taken into custody a Kuwaiti for attempting to smuggle a quantity of marijuana. He arrived from the United States. The two men have been referred to the General Department for Drugs Control.
