Kuwait toughens security on flights

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 1: Aviation Security Department affiliated to the General Department for Private Forces at Ministry of Interior has toughened its security procedures and allocated four military officers from the security forces in every Kuwaiti plane that will travel to countries suffering from security and military problems, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting informed sources.

They said directives were issued to the officers regarding the need to abide by the strict security and safety procedures and inspect every passenger before allowing them to enter the planes. The sources added that the officers have been instructed to deal firmly with any suspect immediately due to the current security situation of the Middle East region.
