Kuwait take Bahrain Drag Racing top spot – Kuwaiti racers triumph by winning 12 cups

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 12, (KUNA): Kuwaiti racers took top positions in the first round of the Bahrain Drag Racing Championship which concluded on Saturday dawn at Bahrain International Circus.

Kuwaiti racers triumphed by winning 12 cups in the categories of cars and motorbikes in the championship, which is regarded as the most intense in the field of speed racing at regional level and in which top racers of the region participate.

In the cars category, racer Sheikh Duaij Al-Fahad Al-Sabah came first in the category Outlaw. Bader Khorshid came second in Pro Mod category, while Suleiman Al-Arir came first and Ahmed Al-Za’abi third in the in the 4.5 Index category.

Turki Al-Humaidhi was second and Talal bin Aidan third in the in Super Street category. Mohammed Sulaiman topped the Street category.

In the motorbikes category, Bader bin Aidan came first and Mosfer Al-Mesfir second in the Street Bike category. Mosfer Al-Mesfir also took first place in the Super Street Bike category and Bader took second place. Meshal Al-Sabr took first place in Pro Bike category.

In a telephone call to KUNA, Sheikh Duaij Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, Head of the Drag Race Committee at Basel Al Sabah Club, hailed the distinguished performance of the Kuwaiti racers and their commitment to raising the Kuwaiti flag high in the international arena.

He said well studied plans and good preparations contributed to the success of the Kuwait racers, affirming the continuation of necessary technical and mechanical preparations for the coming competitions. He added that all the racers are motivated and geared up to achieve top positions.

Sheikh Duaij thanked the President of the Automobile Federation of Bahrain Sheikh Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa for his efforts which reflected positively on the success of the championship.
