Kuwait SC win 2016-2017 Basketball League title

The Kuwait SC on Wednesday won its 9th title of the Kuwaiti Basketball League, 2016-2017, beating Kazma SC 81-61. The Kuwait players offered strong performance and realized a well-deserved win, raising the team’s points to 19, and seized awarded the title of the 54th edition of the league.

Talking to KUNA, basketball manager at Kuwait Bader Al- Ausaimi said the players were up to responsibility and honored their promise to win after an unexpected loss against Al-Jahraa in the former game. He added that they committed themselves to the coach’s instructions, crowning a season of distinct performance. The Basketball League started in the 1961- 1962 season. The former 53rd titles were reaped by six teams; Qadsiya, 22; Kazma, 9; Al-Arabi and Kuwait eight each; Jahraa fi ve and Al-Sahel only one title. (KUNA)
