Kuwait ranks fourth in World Cup of Frisbee Shooting in Egypt

KUWAIT CITY, May 4: Kuwait has achieved a great honor by ranking fourth in the World Cup of Frisbee Shooting hosted by Egypt since April 25. The two Kuwaiti shooters, Khaled AlMudhaf and Talal Al-Rashidi, qualified for the finals, making Kuwait the only Arab country to reach that level.

The achievement is considered significant, given the intense global competition, including world and Olympic champions. The head of the Kuwaiti shooting delegation, Nidal Al-Sayed Omar, said that the shooters’ qualification is a great and honorable achievement, especially as champions from an Arab country.

President of the Egyptian and African Shooting Federations Major General Hazem Hosni also praised Kuwait’s high level of participation, which proved the country’s worth in the competition. He emphasized that the qualification of the Kuwaiti shooters is “a pride for all Arab countries” and indicates Kuwait’s “great ability” to participate in world championships.

The Kuwaiti shooters, Talal Al-Rashidi and Khaled Al-Mudhaf, expressed their delight in the achievement and the fierce competition among Olympic and international champions. They confirmed that the Kuwaiti shooters are always committed to achieving a global imprint, and this achievement is a good sign that indicates readiness for more accomplishments in upcoming tournaments.

The Kuwaiti shooters’ goal is to achieve a qualifying seat for the 2024 Paris Olympics, indicating that they will maintain their level and continuity and make efforts to raise the name of the Arabs high in this field. World champion Khaled Al-Mudhaf stressed that the Kuwaiti shooters’ achievement of this result and qualification among 59 teams in the world for the finals confirms the merit of the Kuwaiti team, which is considered one of the best countries in the world in shooting.
