Kuwait Parliament approves recommendations over repercussions of heavy downpour

KUWAIT, Nov 14 (KUNA) — The National Assembly approved on Wednesday several recommendations following the conclusion of a supplementary parliamentary session on the consequences of the heavy rains.

The session, called for by MPs, tackled the repercussions of the heavy rains witnessed by Kuwait and the potential downpour today, tomorrow and Friday and the consequent sinking of some main roads, tunnels and as well as the damage inflicted on homes and buildings.

Earlier Kuwaiti National Assembly Speaker Marzooq Ali Al-Ghanim opened on Wednesday the National Assembly’s supplementary session dedicated to discussing repercussions of the potential heavy rains.
The session is called for by the MPs to discuss ways of coping with the potential downpour today, Thursday and Friday.
