Kuwait national days celebrated abroad – Amir congratulated for big achievements

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 21, (KUNA): Kuwait’s Ambassador to Oman Fahad Al-Mutairi on Wednesday held a ceremony to celebrate the country’s 57th Independence Day and 27th Liberation Day, amid a popular and official participation. Several representatives of the Omani government, officials, media people, Kuwaiti students, as well as ambassadors of accredited Arab and foreign countries in the Sultanate of Oman were present.

The ambassador extended his congratulations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al- Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al- Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al- Sabah as well as the Kuwait government and people.

In a statement to KUNA, Al-Mutairi said Kuwait is celebrating the 57th Independence Day and 27th Liberation Day amid big achievements, which covered political, scientific, economic and cultural sectors, thanks to policies and strategies adopted by the country led by His Highness the Amir. The ambassador also lauded urban renaissance and prosperity made under the leadership of His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince.

In Dubai, Kuwait’s consulate held on Wednesday a ceremony to mark the country’s national and independence days as well as the 12th anniversary of the post’s assumption of His Highness the Amir. UAE’s senior officials headed by Minister of Climate Change and Environment Thani Al-Zeyoudi, some consuls of friendly and sisterly countries, people of UAE and Kuwait took part in the ceremony.

Kuwaiti Consul General in Dubai Thiyab Al-Rasheedi extended his great congratulations to His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince, the Kuwaiti government and people on this delightful occasion.

In a statement to KUNA, the consul said the deep-rooted relations between Kuwait and UAE have become an example to be copied by other countries. He noted that continued communications between political leaderships of the two countries have an impact on their distinguished ties. On efforts exerted by Kuwait at regional, international and Arab levels, the consul stressed the keenness of the Kuwaiti political leadership to continue to defend the issues of both Arab and Muslim nations “through the country’s active diplomacy regionally and internationally.” He referred to the diplomatic efforts by His Highness the Amir aiming to heal the rift among GCC countries, and maintain stability and security of the region. He prayed to Allah Almighty to protect Kuwait, UAE and all Gulf countries from every evil, and maintain their safety, stability and prosperity.

Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti Embassy to Italy marked today the 57th Independence Day and 27th Liberation Day as well as the 12th anniversary of the post’s assumption of His Highness the Amir. Kuwait’s Ambassador Sheikh Ali Khaled Al-Jaber Al-Sabah assigned some diplomats and staff to go to Leonardo Da Vinci-Fuimicino Airport in Rome in order to receive the Kuwaiti nationals and distribute the country’s flags to them. The Kuwaiti nationals who arrived in Rome late Wednesday expressed their joy for these national days, thanking the ambassador and the embassy’s staff for the warm welcome.

In Islamabad, the Ambassador of Kuwait to Pakistan Nassar Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi hosted on Wednesday a delightful ceremony in federal capital Islamabad to celebrate the 57th National Independence Day and 27th Liberation Day of the State of Kuwait. In his message on the occasion, the envoy said, “I would like to avail this opportunity to extend my congratulations to the eminent honor of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince, and the Government and people of the State of Kuwait.”

The Ambassador prayed to Almighty Allah to maintain Kuwait’s security and safety and further progress and prosperity.

The ambassador highlighted the deep-rooted historical relations with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, its leadership and its people, which are based on respect and cooperation in all fields, and which stood in front of fluctuations and all climates, and considered a model of relations between countries.

The Kuwaiti envoy recalled the visit of His Highness the Amir to Pakistan in 2006 and the visit of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al Hamad Al Sabah to Pakistan in 2013 that further deepened the relations between the two countries.

The chief guest of the ceremony, Minister for Education, Baligh ur Rehman in a statement to KUNA on the occasion said, “On the behalf of government and people of Pakistan, I congratulate people and leadership of Kuwait from the bottom of my heart. “Kuwait and Pakistan are both brother countries, which have stood for each other in the hour of need. I pray to Allah that our brotherly relations remain maintained and hope that it will be further cemented.” Pakistani provincial ministers, Ambassadors of many countries and other high officials in an atmosphere of harmony and brotherhood largely attended the ceremony. The venue hall of the ceremony was beautifully decorated expressing the Kuwait traditions.

Also the Kuwaiti Embassy in the Czech Republic held a festival on the occasion of the country’s national and independence days as well as the 12th anniversary of the post’s assumption of His Highness the Amir.

Kuwait’s Ambassador to the Czech Republic Aymen Al-Adsani offered his great congratulations to His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince, His Highness the Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, the Kuwaiti government and people on this great occasion.

In a speech, Ambassador Al-Adsani touched upon conferences, including the ones on Iraq’s reconstruction and on combating the so-called Islamic State, hosted by Kuwait over the last period, the embassy in Prague said in a statement. He said these efforts reflect Kuwait’s foreign policy aiming to provide development support to countries, and address the causes and effects of crises.

He pointed out that Kuwait’s role was also strengthened through obtaining a non-permanent seat at UN Security Council for two-year term that helps the country to work with its regional and international partners, including the Czech Republic friendly.

For his part, Czech Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Security and Multilateral Issues Ivo Sramek extolled relations with Kuwait, stressing the importance of enhancing these relations in different levels, mainly economy. He referred to increasing trade exchange between the two countries, voicing his country’s desire to boost commercial and economic ties with Kuwait.

Meanwhile, a Palestinian charity in Gaza Strip organized a festival on Wednesday to mark Kuwait’s national days. People in Gaza wanted to share the joy of national days celebrations with Kuwaiti people in recognition of their humanitarian support to Palestinian people, Director of Gaza-based Al- Falah Charity Ramadan Tanburah said in a press statement.

He lauded Kuwait’s role as hub for humanitarian action and its defense of the Palestinian cause and backing to Palestinian charities. He congratulated Kuwait’s His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, government and people on the dear occasions.

Kuwait this month marks the 57th anniversary of independence, 27th anniversary of liberation and 12th anniversary of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al- Sabah’s assumption to power.
