KUWAIT CITY, Dec 5, (KUNA): Kuwaiti Jet Ski champions Yousef Al-Abdul Razzaq and Abdullah Al-Fadhel succeeded in taking third place in the senior professional category of the Thai King International Championship which ended on Sunday in Pataya, Thailand.

During a telephone conversation, Al-Abdul Razzaq expressed his delight over the achievement of the feat by defying all odds especially when his jet-ski rammed into several obstacles that nearly denied him the opportunity.

He lauded the technical crew for their tremendous efforts under the hostile weather. He also appreciated the Zain Communications Company and Kuwait Finance House for the sponsorship.

Al-Abdul Razzaq promised to sustain excellent performance during the forthcoming international championship to be held in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates next month.

Meanwhile, Al-Fadhel revealed that the Thai King Championship is different from other international championships, considering the unstable weather and the four stages involved.

He said he was ahead of others during the first three rounds before his jet-ski became faulty during the final round.

Al-Fadhel stressed that hoisting Kuwaiti flag at the international stage in such a prominent competition was the priority and that they were able to include the name of Kuwaitis in the world ranking through such competitions.

He commended Ministry of Youth Affairs and Public Authority for Sports, as well as private sponsorship of Kuwait International Bank.
