Kuwait condemns Gaza aggression

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 14, (KUNA): Kuwait expressed utter rejection and condemnation of Israel’s aggression on the Gaza Strip, which is killing and wounding scores of people.

Israel’s ongoing airstrikes on the Palestinian territory is a “continuation of the Israeli occupation’s practices and crimes against defenceless Palestinians, constituting a flagrant violation of international laws and norms,” read a Kuwait foreign ministry statement.

“This will only lead to more violence and will undermine any chances for peace,” it added. According to media reports, ongoing clashes between Israeli forces and the Islamic Jihad in Gaza erupted on Tuesday after Israel killed the Palestinian group’s senior commander Abu Al-Atta.

Israel has been carrying out airstrikes on Gaza, while the group have so far launched more than 200 rockets in retaliation. On Thursday, Israeli warplanes hit and demolished a house in Deir Al-Balah in central Gaza early on Thursday killing eight Palestinians, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said.

The new killings raised death toll of three days of Israeli attacks to 34 while 111 are injured until now, the ministry’s spokesperson Ashraf Al- Qudra said in a statement
