Kuwait 6th Int’l Shooting Grand Prix set to kickoff

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 25: His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sixth International Shooting Grand Prix is scheduled to kickoff on Friday, January 27 at the Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex. A large number of shooters from 47 countries are expected to participate in the championship.
In his press statement, Head of the organizing committee and Head of Kuwait and Arab shooting associations Duaij Al-Otaibi explained that the championship is scheduled to continue for six days. It will consist of several events including the 13th Arab Shooting Championship, the GCC Archery (bow and arrow) Championship, the Asian Shotgun League and arbitrary course for pistol shooting.
Al-Otaibi affirmed that the patronage and support of shooting sport by His Highness the Amir plays a huge role in promoting the sport, adding, “Such a support enabled our shooting champions to win four Olympics medals last year at Rio Olympics and show better performance in various other shooting championships”.
