KU students organize football championship

The Students Activities Section of the Department of Students’ Hostels and Foreign Students Affairs at Kuwait University organized a football championship on Jan 6 among the foreign students on scholarship at Kuwait University, Public Authority for Applied Education and Technology (PAAET) and the Religious Institute.

Head of Students Activities Section in the Department of Students’ Hostels Omar Al-Shayji praised the strong level of sports performance demonstrated by the participants in the tournament, affirming the importance of sports in general and its continuous engagement.

He stressed that the level of the championship was good and successful in all standards, and the level of the participating teams varied between very good and excellent.

Al-Shayji highlighted the aspiration of students to succeed and exert more efforts in their academic endeavors without abandoning their sports identity and development of their sports skills.

It is worth mentioning that the Department of Students’ Hostels and Foreign Students Affairs at the Deanship of Students Affairs in Kuwait University strives to encourage foreign students to practice their hobbies and utilize their free time in activities that amuse as well as benefit them.
