KOC to hire 800 Kuwaitis holding varsity degrees

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 20: Kuwait Oil Company is in the final stages of hiring 800 Kuwaiti holders of university degrees and diplomas, reports Al-Anba daily quoting reliable sources.

They indicated that the company has received applications for hiring 600 university degree holders and 200 diploma holders. The sources revealed that Kuwait National Petroleum Corporation (KNPC) will soon start receiving applications for 400 vacancies. Meanwhile, Director General of Public Authority for Social Security Hamad Al-Humaidhi has affirmed commitment to the right of pensioners, revealing that their pensions will not be affected by the government’s austerity policy, reports Al-Rai daily.

In a press statement, Al-Humaidhi said the State Treasury is legally committed to fulfilling the needs of pensioners, stressing that the Public Authority for Social Security has demonstrated its keenness to serve more than 600,000 male and female pensioners. He revealed that the authority will open its branch in South Surra in the coming few days.
