KNPC: An Indian worker working on Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery infected with coronavirus

KUWAIT CITY, Apr 24: Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) announced that a worker of sub contracting company had contracted with coronavirus (Covid 19).

The company said that the infected man is of Indian nationality and works in one of the projects affiliated to Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery.

He was suspected of being infected at his residence provided by the company he works for and subsequently visited the hospital where the medical examination proved that he was infected with the virus.

KNPC asserted that, in the interest of the safety of its workers work on the project was temporarily suspended until the completion of the precautionary investigation procedures and identifying with whom he came in contact. The health checks and precautionary rules are being followed as per the guidelines of Ministry of Health.
