Klkja wins Hassawi Charity Cup – Al-Nadira captures Equestrian Club Cup

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 13: Neshama Stable continued to shine in the horseracing tournament held at Kuwait Equestrian Club when its horse Klkja ridden by Tawfiq won the late Mubarak Al-Hassawi Charity Cup by completing 1,000m race for third grade horses within a record time of 58.9 seconds.

The horse Sama from Al-Sorour Stable ridden by Marco came second and the horse Shabih Al-Rouh also from Al-Sorour Stable came third. With the victory of Klkja, Neshama Stable has consolidated its dominance of the tournament from beginning to the end.

Rapporteur of the Higher Council for Horseracing Sport Mohammed Jassim Al-Qatami presented the cup to the owner of Neshama Stable and congratulated them for their victory.

He thanked the late Mubarak Al-Hassawi Charity for their support of this sport of the ancestors, wishing the owners of all stables success in the coming tournaments.

Sheikh Jaber Al-Ali, who was among the attendees, expressed his happiness over the victory of Neshama Stable. He dedicated the victory to Minister of Information and State Minister for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah.

Meanwhile, the horse Al-Nadira of Essam Salem Al-Roumi Stable ridden by McCarthy won the Equestrian Club Cup for horses of Arab origin after winning the 6,000m race. The horse Aswifa of Zamanan Stable ridden by Faisal came second and the horse Wase’e Abdal from Al-Juhail Stable ridden by Lewis came third.

General Manager of the club Sheikh Abdullah Al Salman presented the cup to the owner of Al-Roumi Stable.

In other rounds, the horse Tala Intidaar from Al-Mulla Stable came first in the third round of the 1,200m race for second grade horses by completing it within 3:15:01 minutes ahead of the horse Al-Ghaeth of Jassim Safa Stable and the horse Ateeq of Dasman Stable.

The horse Muqarib of Neshama Stable won the second round of the 1,800m race for first grade horses ahead of the horse Mujmel of Mubarak Al-Ajmi Stable and the horse Muhawil of Neshama Stable.

The horse Ghamer of the Nayef Al-Rushaidi Stable won the first round of the 1,800m race for beginners. The horse Haya Taala of Ahmad Al-Mutairi Stable and the horse Mithal of Sorour Stable took second and third places respectively.
