KIB organizes ‘Train the Trainers’ workshop for its staff – Event held in cooperation with IBS to elevate performance and efficiency of employees

KUWAIT CITY, May 22: Kuwait International Bank (KIB) organized a series of two-days workshops at its headquarters for its staff entitled “Training The Trainers”, in cooperation with the Institute of Banking Studies to stay updated with the latest banking trends and elevate the performance and efficiency of its employees to go with its leading position as one of the best Islamic banks in Kuwait in terms of performance and growth.

The course comes as part of bank’s series of regular training courses, in order to keep up with the latest developments in the banking industry from one side and to be in line with its operational strategy that aims at developing the skills and expertise of its human resources to measure up to the responsibility standards in customer service on the other.

A Set of Tactics

The General Manager of Human Resources Department, Nigel Holmes said: “It’s a specialized workshop to train the trainers who hold various functional levels in all departments to provide them with a full set of tactics and approaches related to banking and then enable them to plan and supervise training courses for their peers to meet the demands of the bank in particular and banking requirements in general.

All of this falls in line with the standards of the industry and its latest developments in the local, Arab and international markets, which not only helps them in their  daily routine work, but also will upgrade their skills and banking know-how by sharing  together experiences and best practices.”

Creative Talents

Holmes added, “To achieve our goal, we have organized this training course under the supervision of the Institute of Banking Studies, which is a specialized banking institute that has a long track record and outstanding experience in planning and organizing courses that would play a vital role in cultivating the skills and know-how of our staff, as well as keep them updated with the latest trends of finance and commerce.”

He also stressed on the bank’s objective to always employ qualified coaches and experts to motivate employees and harness their creativity in the workplace. Consequently, KIB stands today at the forefront of the banking industry and as one of the best Islamic banks in Kuwait, which is crowned by winning the Best Islamic Bank in Kuwait  for three consecutive years 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Outstanding Outcome

Holmes concluded by praising the  outstanding cooperation between the bank and the Institute of Banking Studies, where this workshop is not the first between two parties but part of an extended series of courses  which have received sound success with results that meet the bank’s expectations in accomplishing the set goals. He also thanked the presenter of the workshop, Hamza Taqi, for his motivation contribution in providing valuable banking information to the trainees and keenness to educate and raise their training skills to design and plan their own training courses and specialized workshops in their respective fields.
