KUWAIT CITY, June 7: The organizing committee of the Late Meshari Al-Roudhan Ramadan Indoor Football Tournament revealed that four well-known international footballers will participate in the ‘Dream’ match which will be played on the sidelines of the tournament.

According to a press release, these four well-known footballers are — The former Italian professional footballer Paulo Maldini, the Brazilian professional footballer and defender for the French club Paris Saint-Germain and vice captain for the Brazilian national team David Luiz, The Spanish professional footballer for Real Madrid Club and right-back player of Spanish national team Dani Carvajal and the Emirati professional footballer and attacking midfielder for UAE Arabian Gulf League Club Al-Ain and the UAE national football team Omar Abdulrahman Al-Amoodi, also known as Amoory.

Meanwhile, in the preliminary stage of the tournament, a match between the Martyr Fahad Al-Ahmad team and Atom Sporting resulted in a draw of one goal each. Kuwait International Bank team won against the Ministry of Defense team with three goals to none.

In the match between the teams of Shabab Kazma and Wawan Protein, Shabab Kazma won with a score of 4-2.

In the youth category, Al-Abtal team defeated Mishref team with a score of 2-0. Rawda team defeated Ahmad Al-Obaian team by four goals to none, and Mir Media Service team defeated ‘Mawj Azraq’ (the Blue Waves) team with a score of 3-2.

The third day of the tournament will witness three strong matches with Fahaheel facing Kazma, Atom Sporting facing Super Hat team and the Late Samir Saed team facing Saoud Jumaa Mahjoub team.

The Omani sports commentator Khalil Al-Baloushi expressed his delight in returning to the Late Meshari Al-Roudhan Ramadan Indoor Football Tournament for the second time. He said, “Despite the short duration of the matches, the footballers are displaying wonderful skills”.
