KDSC to participate in World Fencing Champ’ship in Poland

KUWAIT CITY, July 3, (KUNA): Kuwait will be participating in the World Fencing Championships scheduled to be held in Warsaw, Poland, from July fifth to July seventh. Secretary General of the Kuwaiti Disabled Sports Club (KDSC) Abdullah Al-Quraini told KUNA that on Tuesday before the team departed to Poland, they chose three players to participate in the tournament, Abdullah Haddad, Fahad Al-Bastaki and Abdullah Al-Khalidi.

Players are preparing for this important event through intensive training in the club during the last days involving matches, Al-Quraini added. Players also participated in the Ramadan tournament organized by the club during the holy month of Ramadan, inside and outside the club, hoping the team will achieve honorable results in the global gathering, he stated.

Chairman of KDSC Shafi Al-Hajri will participate in the tournament to get more sports arrangements for the disabled, supporting all external and internal club activities, Al-Quraini stressed. The delegation includes Ali Al-Azmi Adria, Naji Mohammed as coach and Faisal Mohammed as the supervisor of the fencing weapon.
