‘KD 20 mln allocated as Over Time’

KUWAIT CITY, March 13: Minister of Health Dr Basel Al-Sabah disclosed that the ministry’s allocation for overtime for the previous fiscal year amounted to KD 20 million, reports Al-Rai daily.

In his response to an inquiry by MP Hamoud Al- Khodair, Al-Sabah explained overtime as any task assigned to an employee after the official working hours as a matter of necessity and work’s interest.

According to Civil Service Council’s decision No.12/2012, overtime includes employees working in the ministry’s health utilities that provide healthcare to citizens after the official working hours in the hospitals and specialist centers in the evening.
