KUWAIT CITY, Feb 12: Ahli United Bank of Kuwait CEO and Board Member, Mrs Jehad Saud Al-Humaidhi, was selected among the Forbes list of the 100 most powerful businesswomen in the Middle East for the year 2023, leading the success of a group of the largest companies in the region and abroad. That is according to the magazine, which relied on as specific and relevant criteria in its selection, including their respective influence in the region and the markets in which women work, the achievements they achieved during the past year, the sustainability and social responsibility initiatives they led, the volume of business, and professional experience.

Mrs Jehad Al-Humaidhi has over 38 years of dedicated banking and technology achievements and unparalleled diversified experiences. Since she joined Al-Ahli United Bank immediately after her graduation from Kuwait University in 1984, where she held several supervisory and leadership positions in the Bank. Combining extensive knowledge in technology and banking advancement, she had never ignored the necessity to diverse and accumulate her overall banking experiences. “Understanding the business is the key driver of success” as she has always declared in many occasions. Mrs Jehad Al-Humaidhi held several leadership positions the bank. In 2011 She held the position of General Manager of Operations and Information Technology, rising to the position of Deputy CEO – Banking Support Group since 2018, and took over responsibilities for supervising the work of the financial, administrative, legal sectors, and the regulatory compliance department in addition to the departments of central operations, information technology, treasury operations, Central Operations, Banking cards, and trade finance before being selected for the position of CEO, then she was elected to the Board of Directors of Ahli United Bank.

Mrs Jehad Al-Humaidhi is also a Board Member of the Shared Electronic Banking Services Company (K-NET) and a Vice Chairman of Al-Hilal Takaful and Al-Hilal Life (BSC) and previously served as the Vice-Chairman of the Credit Information Network Company (Ci-Net). In recognition of her professional achievements, Mrs Jehad Al- Humaidhi won prominent banking awards, including the CEO of the Banking Sector Award in Kuwait for the year 2021, from the Global Banking and Finance Review magazine. This is in appreciation of her strong leadership, strategy and vision, which greatly contributed to the success of Ahli United Bank’s business.

Mrs Jehad presented the ideal model for what a CEO should be, as she worked with integrity, justice and humanity to create a distinguished work environment. Mrs Jehad Al-Humaidhi also won the “Woman Entrepreneur of the Year 2017” award in the field of information technology and all banking operations in Kuwait from the “International Finance” magazine, which came as a culmination of the sincere efforts made by Mrs Jehad Al-Humaidhi since her appointment at Ahli United Bank. On this occasion, Mrs Jehad Al-Humaidhi expressed her happiness with this selection evaluation, which she considered a global tribute and recognition for the successes achieved by the entire management team at Ahli United Bank in various sectors, and stressed that working in the banking sector is a reward in itself. Mrs Al-Humaidhi also stressed on the importance of the role played by Kuwaiti women, and the position they assumed in all fields, and expressed her pride in “the achievements made by Kuwaiti women, which are recognized at the local and international levels, which were not limited to the scientific and cultural fields, but also included several humanitarian fields.” and she continued to play her role, with a distinguished presence and high efficiency.

Mrs Al-Humaidhi also praised the distinguished work environment at Ahli United Bank, which provided her with the factors of success and stability since she worked in it immediately after her graduation and throughout all these years, in which she received all the encouragement and support from the Bank’s management and the sincere cooperation of her colleagues.
