KUWAIT CITY, Nov 6: A Moroccan court has sentenced a Moroccan businesswoman Hind El-Achchabi, wife of a Kuwaiti diplomat to three years imprisonment with hard labor and fined her $200,000 after finding her guilty of adultery and forgery, reports Al-Rai daily.

The wife reportedly cheated on her husband and was involved in an affair with a Moroccan millionaire, identified only as M.B. M.B. and the accused reportedly opted for an out of court settlement and offered to pay the Kuwaiti 50 and 10 million respectively.

Earlier, the daily had reported the businesswoman hit the headlines after her diplomat husband revealed that one of his daughters was not his. The Kuwaiti then filed a lawsuit against his wife accusing her of fraud, corruption and betrayal. Life continued between the couple until last June when the husband doubted about the behavior of his wife. He suspected the millionaire investor in the aviation sector because he saw the latter getting close to his wife.

When he confronted his wife, she said she had been faithful to her husband for years but to put an end to his doubts he requested for DNA testing of the second daughter and the result showed she was the daughter of the millionaire.

According to the testimony of the doctor, the woman tried to abort the pregnancy but since it was the seventh month the doctor found it difficult to carry out the procedure. During investigation, the millionaire argued he got married to the woman after her divorce from the Kuwaiti husband and they went to Mali. He presented a marriage contract to support his claim, but intensive investigations revealed they had never been to Mali.
