Iraq defeats Kuwait, hopes to qualify for Asian Juniors Football cup ends

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 16: Kuwait lost its chance to qualify for the Asian Juniors Football Cup on Sunday after losing to Iraq by 2-0 goals, while Australia beat India by 4-1. Kuwait lost to Iraq in the qualifiers hosted in Kuwait, where Muslim Al-Hamdani scored for Iraq in the 40th minute, and Ali scored second goal the 94th minute ending the Kuwaiti team’s hopes of qualifying.

In the other match, Australia beat India by 4-1 goals, Garang Kaul scored in the 12th minute, India’s Bikash Yomnam (by an own goal) in the 32nd minute, Adrian Perez in the 86th minute and Max Caputo in the 92nd minute, while India’s only goal was scored by Gurkirat Singh in the 62nd minute. Australia will meet Iraq on Tuesday, both the teams are on 6 points it will be a decisive match where as for Kuwait will play its last match with India. Uzbekistan will host the Asian Youth Cup finals from March 1 to March 18, 2023.
