Iranian, Chinese and Hong Kong nationals banned from entering Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 24: Iranian nationals have been banned from entering Kuwait as part of preventive measures to avert an outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19), reports GDNonline.com.

The Ministry of Interior has received a notification from the Ministry of Health to beef up entry measures, said Assistant Undersecretary for Residence Affairs Major General Talal Al Maarafi.

The authorities have already banned citizens of Hong Kong and China from entering the Kuwaiti territories.

Meanwhile, expatriates from these infected countries, who hold residence visas in Kuwait and who have been banned from entering the country have been given a three-month absence permit. Their cases will be decided after the expiry of the three-month period
